How to control mind?
Swami Vivekananda has said that the purer the mind, the easier it is to control. If the mind is to be controlled, it must be purified. The man who is completely righteous has nothing more to do. He is free.

Conquering the mind depends on its purity. The reason we can't conquer the mind is because it is ruined right now. If we spend our lives in such a way that our mind becomes more and more dirty and if we start trying hard to conquer the mind, all those efforts will be in vain. It is difficult for us to succeed if we try to overcome it without even trying to purify our mind. Of course, if your mind is originally very pure, things are different. In order to conquer the mind, we need a way of life that will destroy all the worms in the mind.
What are these worms in the mind? These worms are hatred, anger, greed, fear, lust, pride. These insects pollute the mind by creating hatred and fear in the mind and deprive the mind of peace.
